Aiming toward artificial general intelligence, artificial superintelligence, efficient smart systems, and AI for good.
Human intelligence is a manifestation of human existence. As René Descartes wrote, "Je pense, donc je suis." We think, and through thought we become aware that we are, that we exist.
Therefore, merely replicating this intelligence is, and will prove to be, an exercise in futility. The point is not to copy the human mind as an artifact, but to understand intelligence as a path, a structure, and a force that can be built with humility.
On this premise, we acknowledge the length of the path toward meaningful pseudo-intelligence in man-made systems. Smaller steps, taken with rigor and clarity, may prove more fruitful for mankind's progress toward AGI.
